She flies a great big 747-400!\u00c2\u00a0 But she says she loves the thrill of going &#8220;low and slow&#8221; in the seaplane. I had fun playing with her children and husband, too, while she flew.<\/p>\n<p>My pal Dan lives here in the Seattle area, and he visited our booth at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washington-aviation.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Pacific Northwest Aviation Trade Show <\/a>last February.\u00c2\u00a0 He took us up on our trade show offer of 10% off the ASES rating, and we&#8217;re glad he did.\u00c2\u00a0 Dan works for the FAA, keeping an eye on towers and obstacles around here for us.\u00c2\u00a0 Thank goodness!\u00c2\u00a0 Lake Union is a busy place these days, with construction and so forth.<\/p>\n<p>My friend Ron travelled here from Kansas City, flying his very own <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Piper_PA-46\" target=\"_blank\">Piper Malibu<\/a> with his partner Robin.\u00c2\u00a0 Ron, John, and Kit all know each other from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ngpa.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">NGPA<\/a>, and it was great to have him here for the float rating training.
